FAQ

How do I book a session?
Use the contact form to reach out about booking a session and what dates you're looking at! If I'm available we can move forward with booking!
Short Cut sessions are booked through my Google Calendar, where you can easily view availability, schedule, or cancel if your plans change.
Where will the photos be taken?
Sessions are available in Kyoto, Osaka, or Nara. You’re welcome to choose a location that fits your travel plans, or let me know where you’d like to meet.
If you’re not sure where to go, I can suggest locations that not only photograph beautifully, but are also great places to visit during your time in Japan.
Can you help us plan our route?
Yes! Especially for longer sessions. I can help plan a route that flows naturally, so you’re not wasting time figuring out where to go.
I’ll also help you navigate each area more efficiently and can share recommendations for things to do before or after the session.
What time of day is best?
Add paragraph text. Click “Edit Text” to update the font, size and more. To change and reuse text themes, go to Site Styles.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain can actually create beautiful photos, but if the weather is too severe, we can reschedule at no extra cost. And if rescheduling doesn't work with your schedule, you can cancel with a full refund for weather related issues.
How does Payment work?
All sessions (except the Short Cut session) require a deposit to secure your booking, which is handled through the website.
The remaining balance can be paid in person on the day of the session or through a follow-up invoice.
What should we wear?
I recommend simple, neutral tones and avoiding large logos. I’m happy to give suggestions based on your location and style. But ultimately, what ever you feel most comfortable in is just fine!
We're awkward in photos... is that okay?
Honestly, most people feel that way. I’ll guide you through everything so it feels natural — nothing stiff or overly posed.
